From the nearby northern Africa, that suggested the choice of the external wall painting, were borrowed the "dammuso” shingles, also typical of the architecture of Pantelleria, Arabic heritage which is present throughout the Sicilian architectural technique. Also the handmade cotta decorations and the forms the columns that hold up the pergolas reinforce the concept of an architecture which is common to all the countries of the Mediterranean basin. |
